Lisa First, American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT)

Lisa First is an American Society of the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) certified instructor with over 30 years teaching experience.

The Alexander Technique invites change, freedom and increased ease of movement. Everyone can benefit from the Technique including performing artists, athletes, business people and office workers with repetitive strain, chronic illness or anyone who wants to optimize their psycho-physical wellbeing. In this over 120 year old technique we improve the head, neck and back relationship for the enhanced performance of our daily activities. Many of us carry unnecessary tension that causes pain, impedes movement and interferes with coordination and performance.
The Alexander Technique is a process for making discoveries,
gaining self-awareness, and engaging with choice. This technique enhances coordination, refines balance, increases presence,
and allows us to delight in the experience of well-being and poise.

Lisa First is an American Society of the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) certified instructor of the Alexander Technique.  She currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina where she teaches private and group lessons in the Alexander Technique. Lisa also teaches online private and group sessions, as well as nationally and abroad.
